People big and small have a tendency to favour hierarchies, expectations. According to society, such roles are ingrained within their very natures: humans and predators are the ones who own houses and rule the world; while beneath their feet are the tiny folk, who have to hide and borrow what they can just to survive- or be doomed to their publicized fates as pets, pests, and playthings.
