I composed this for a young neighbor who is suffering terribly from disease. She is literally trapped by her symptoms, and yesterday we heard her sobbing and crying in her yard. No higher calling can come then to give comfort to someone in despair. The Songbird's Solace is for Denise.

Stella was getting into her Porsche, a man suddenly appeared out of nowhere and demanded that she be his getaway driver. It was the bank robber, Adravayne, off the news and Stella couldn't believe her luck. As they sped away from the scene of the crime, Stella's heart was racing. The bank robber looked over at Stella and grinned. She could feel her heart skip a beat as she was in way over her head, but she didn't care. Jane knew that she might not make it out of this ordeal without an attachment to Adravayne, but she didn't care. She was with the man she was falling for, and that was all that mattered. One shot.
