Katie Auverly, a foster kid and your everyday girl, has known Yuri for seven years now. They were best friends since she was eight and he was nine and were always there for each other. Of course, she was in love with him but unsure of his feelings towards her. This was the second time Yuri was competing for the Grand Prix Final but Katie has a secret he doesn't know about; she was being adopted by everyone's favorite gay couple, Victor Nikifirov and Yuuri Katsuki*and the fangirls scream*. Yuri never had parents, he don't remember many things about them since they left him when he was eight. He avoids talking about his life as much as he could, not wanting the sympathy or even worse the false empathy of people who didn't even care about him anyway. So instead he just tries to live with it, even if sometimes it's difficult. Yuri resigned himself that he would never have parents. But one day the doors of the orphanage opened and everything changed without truly changing. (maybe a bit ooc for Yuri but I just adapted some little things to the situation he is in)
