Yes, she knows of the horrors that take place in the game and YES, she knows she's likely to die, but she's always been reckless. She's always done things that kept everyone on their toes. She refuses to fit in, and she loves to make a splash. So, when she gets the idea to volunteer during the reaping she doesn't wait very long to jump on it.

This is a fan fiction of hunger games in which katniss gets captured by the capitol instead of Peeta.

I'll let you guys know when I start writing it. Anyways thanks for making it this far. We're almost done. Plot: Maddie has once again escaped the Games alive. However Peeta has been taken by the Capitol, the revolution has begun, and District 12 is no more. At District 13, Maddie is struggling. She is confused and angry. People look up to her as the Mockingjay, a symbol of hope. Can Maddie really step up as a symbol to everyone? Can she rescue Peeta? Credits: Same as always. Katniss just moved from District twelve to Panem because her mother married some rich guy named Plutarch. It's just a normal hunger games high school fanfiction but better and more awesome.
