A short tale of hatred, vengeance, and redemption in the Ugandan savanna following amateur poacher Alejandro and the target of his resentment-a cape buffalo that killed his father. Very loosely based on "The Prodigal Son" parable.

Hello! My name is samantha but everybody calls me Sam. I didn't choose that nickname but my dad did before he passed while my mom was pregnant with me. My dad was an animal lover and to his wish my mother had made an exotic animal rescue. I love helping out over there and my favorites are the elephants. My favorite is daisy- she was just born and is so friendly! The problem is... Poachers keep coming in and trying to get our elephants and other exotic animals. I hope we can stop them soon... They are putting daisy at risk!

Rebecca and Nicklaus, twins, were in a car crash when they were little. with the ability to transform into a wolf, two wolves stumbled upon the crash and saw Nicklaus and Rebecca as wolves, thinking they were saving them they brought them to their pack and have lived with them ever since. but one night as they go on a run with some of their friends Luna, a wolf, get shot and trying to save her friends, Rebecca reveals her ability and gets captured. In that dense jungle, Bodhi spent the entire night on a treetop as he could not risk getting down. Dawn was still nowhere in sight, only darkness and silence everywhere. Sounds of nocturnal creatures were ringing inside Bodhi's ears.. Slumber of predators is not a reliable thing as their senses are better in dark. All his martial arts training seemed to be of no use.. He must wait for at least an hour for the first ray of sunlight.

The main base of this is Soukoku if Chuuya was a demi-human (cheetah demi-human to be exact) and Dazai was a poacher. This is a continuation of one of my many Soukoku stories, I'll probably be continuing this one before moving onto another one. - - - Chuuya, a nineteen year old demi-human living in a world separated from humans (for many reasons). The place he calls home is a small town in the woods away from humans; all is relatively peaceful there, simple, even. He and his sisters run a shop in the town that he--unfortunately--has to work in practically every day, then goes home, does whatever, and repeat. It's simple, it's nice, it's BORING. Well, boring until one night when he's up late staring at the ceiling when he hears something troubling from outside... And you totally couldn't guess who it is!!! (It's Dazai. It's just Dazai) He comes across a poacher of all things outside standing in front of a young demi-human from his town threateningly. So, Chuuya does the only logical thing a person could do in that situation and tackled the poacher, and it continues from then on.

This short story follows a young elephant as she struggles though life in the African desert. This was inspired by "The Last Leatherback" a book about a leatherback turtle going though life. I made it to help people understand the problems elephants face in life. Because I'm trying to write this from an elephant's perspective, when the elephants are talking I will only use basic words. There will be a key at the bottom. Most of the information in this story will come from a National Geographic documentary, and some things I will have to guess. This story may upset some people because it contains death. Written by Skyla.
