Ron woke up in the same room, with the same sound of rain pitter-pattering against the window, and the same throbbing ache on his head. As he scanned the room, the scene around him seemed to be a decade old. Memories from that time surfaced then faded away, merging into bits of other memories like trickles of rain converging on the window pane. Ron had been stuck in a time loop and he wasn't even sure if this was just a dream. Would he eventually wake up? Or was he a dead man crossing the borders to heaven? However, some thing was amiss this time. Elena, his childhood beau, had lost her mind. But before he could know more, he was spun back into the past. Could this be a chance to change Elena's life? In the silence, the sound of clock hands ticked away mercilessly, echoing loudly in his ears. He could hear the sound of sand rushing down the hourglass embedded in the old pocket watch. Outside the window, grey clouds drift forward, lighting up in bright red flashes upon each strike of lightning. When the clouds arrive overhead, Ron would be spun out of this time again. Can he uncover the truth before the teardrops fall, again? ------------------ Author's note: Hi there! This is my first novel :) This is a story about our regrets in life. Inspired by my favourite movie. Can anyone guess what movie it is? After I started writing the story, I started to see that there are different movies and stories on the similar themes. I was grateful for all the inspiration and hoped I added enough twists to make this unique on its own! I wanted my first story to have a kinda mystery romance vibe. I hope to pull it off! My target is to make each one 500 words as these will hopefully one day be illustrated by myself as I am an illustrator. Grim was walking at an old dirt road wen he saw something shiny in the high grass beside the road. He walked towards it and he found an old pocket watch he picked it up and took it home. The next day weird stuff started 2 happen in and around his house and everywhere he took the pocket watch to. And each day it became more violent. Is he gonna survive? Is he gonna throw it away? READ NOW IF U DARE!!!!!

A shaft of ruddy, reddish light sliced through a sliver of a window, boarded up with rotted planks. The scarlet strip landed straight across the face of the pocket watch, as though the gaze of an evil eye had glanced in from Outside and landed on the stray object. The inner workings of the little pocket watch hesitated, contemplating the silence of a century, then began to work, gliding into motion. Its soft, accentuated movement spoke to the silence, ponderous...deadly. Tick, tock. Tick, tock. Twenty-four hours... ~~~~~~ Something draws my eye. A pocket watch lies on its back on a low shelf. It's unassuming, small and copper, illuminated in a sliver of light. It-it's nothing. I shouldn't be staring. But something about it is different. Something's wrong. What, though? What, what, what? I'm paralyzed, can't move, can't think. And then it hits me: the clock is moving. The miniscule minute hand is ticking away softly, counterclockwise. Like a countdown.

'Pocketwatch: noun, a watch on a chain, intended to be carried in the pocket of a jacket or vest.' You know how when you turn a watch back in time when it's daylight savings, etc? have you ever wondered (or at least thought) what it would be like if you ACTUALLY went back in time? Well, this pocket watch actually goes back in time. When Olivia finds an old, rusty pocket watch she thinks that it's useless, another piece of useless metal, taking up space in her antique shop, but soon, she learns it's much more than a piece of scrap material.
