These poems are all for them... to relieve the aching, to stop the itching. In this way, I hope to stay a little bit longer and touch the hearts of people feeling the same way.

Midnight Poems is a collection of raw, haunting thoughts-written in the quiet hours when sleep won't come and the dark feels a little too honest. These aren't your typical love poems. They're messy, aching, and sometimes a bit twisted. If you've ever stayed up too late thinking about everything and nothing, this book is for you.

I rarely write poems. Not because I have nothing to say, but because poems only come when something inside me finally asks to be heard. They are never planned. They simply happen. I'm Cai, and I write poetry whenever I feel something.

Some stories are written with ink. This one wasn't. It fell out of me... sometimes as a sigh that stayed longer than my breath, sometimes as a smile with nowhere to go, sometimes as tears that knew her name before I ever dared to speak it. These pages are not poems. They are the places where my heart chose words instead of breaking. Perhaps you'll find someone in them. Perhaps you'll find yourself.
