Our sight is the most perfect and most delightful of all our senses. Do not close your eyes. Damien, a young orphan, is haunted by the ghosts of his painful past-loss, betrayal, and neglect. Struggling with depression and aggression, he feels trapped in a cycle of despair, unable to find peace. His life seems like a never-ending nightmare. Then he meets Alice. Bright and compassionate, she seems like a healing light in Damien's dark world. Her presence brings him a sense of calm, something he's never known. Yet, Damien remains torn. Is he truly healing, or is he simply clinging to her out of desperation? He wonders if relying on a relationship to fix himself will only lead to more pain. As their connection deepens, Damien must face his fears and decide if love can truly save him, or if he must learn to heal on his own before it's too late.

[DISCONTINUED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE] 'The crisp of yesterday thoughts eventually burrowed inside thy hollow mind.' Disoriented, Arno struggles to find 'paradise.' A lonesome voice from a crystal he previously had found burried-shivering inside its dense shell-repeating the phrases; 'Open one's heart, Guided by the light, Shall reach the welcoming hearth, He who follows the path..' In a decimated world he now walks in, he shall now traverse through the darkest plains of burnt civilizations, through the highest peaks of the mountains of ashes, through the deep waters of oceans and oceans of disappointments, and through the sordid past of the old Arno he used to know.

It's a short story.
