This is how I found peace after being misunderstood. This is what happens when the noise goes away and I can hear my own voice again. These poems came from times when I wasn't sure of myself, when I had to learn to let go, and when I had to learn to believe in myself. They are about taking my time to heal, being careful with love, and finding strength in the quiet places. It's not about being broken. It's about what you need to do to rebuild myself when the world keeps telling me that I don't deserve to be who I am, Themes: healing, survival, false blame, emotional abuse, self-forgiveness, resilience, and rebirth.

Salt & Honey is a collection of poems about the beauty and ache of being human. Through themes of love, loss, healing, and hope, each piece blends the sting of salt with the sweetness of honey, capturing life's bittersweet moments and the strength found within them. Inspired by my great-grandma, a woman who always saw the positive side of everything, strong as a rock, ready to forgive, always giving. Thank you for everything! We'll meet in between words and say bye with the sunset.

the book he was reading [ poetry ] to love means taking the risk and being ready to feel and endure the pain it might've caused you. to be hurt means you just loved unconditionally, no asking for anything in return. to heal means you're ready to let go of the pain and be able to take steps to move forward not backwards. love can be the most beautiful thing or the most painful one vague and inexplicable even so, it feels good to feel it hurt people, hurt people usually as they say reason that seems unreasonable though it's just a mere justification heal those pain engraved in your heart and those scars lying within your soul love.hurt.heal.repeat. - rere

December feels like a doorway a soft place where the year gathers itself and asks what we learned, what we carried, what we survived. These poems are pieces of my journey : the warnings I ignored, the devotion I misplaced, the victories I didn't see coming, and the quiet mercies that held me when I didn't know how to hold myself. This is my year, unfolded in poems faith, fragility, obedience, and the gentle ways God stitched me back together one lesson at a time. If you've walked through a year that stretched you, maybe you'll find yourself here too.

A collection of poetry that has been written from me (and my constant battle with wrecking insanity). Some will make sense; some will leave you with a big ole' question mark; but, like myself, not everything can be precise and make definite sense. I will try my best to have new additions every week from my on-going-twisted-love-affair of writing poetry. For all the support and encouragements you all share with me - I do humbly appreciate all that you say and do. The feeling I get when another writer comments, or votes is imperial to how I interrupt that my work has some actual capabilities of reaching out and affecting someone's day or even their own life. So, please, if you like the poetry that I've consciously poured my heart, soul and thoughts out, please, leave a comment, or vote for how much this piece or any other of my poetry has helped. If it has given you hope, acknowledgement, or just an awareness that someone, like me, knows exactly what you can go through first hand, let me see how much it affects you. Even the 'poet' needs some love shown. :) Copyright © 2015-2017 By T. A. Hinson All Rights Reserved All rights reserved. These are all the certain things most people left undeciphered or unsaid. These are all the conundrums that kept most of us asphyxiated in bed. These are all the befriended monsters we allowed to live inside our heads, These are everything we tried to consume when our hungry souls demanded to be fed. The poems written here are voices of the oppressed- Screams you've never heard from the silently distressed.
