A collection of poems that had the potential to be loved, yet remained unnoticed. Poets don't just write - they bleed, piece by piece, into the paper. They breathe life into words and call it poetry. Writing is filled with what-ifs, maybes, and endless confusion. Yet a poet continues - to write, to bleed, to stay honest. Poets are known for writing about love, but in truth, they write what they secretly crave - and when asked why, they learn to lie. This book is a place where overthinkers can breathe, where tired minds can rest, and where those carrying too much can finally pause.

The lesson will repeat itself until you learn from it. This quote alone symbolizes the tale of A dance with A Necromancer. A foretelling memoir of one woman's secret double life finding her in each and every lifetime. All secrets don't stay buried and not all Ghosts are dead.

𝗗𝐢𝐥 - 𝐞 - 𝐑𝐚𝐚𝐳 was written in that quiet corner. This poetry collection contains eight poetic Urdu verses written in the hope of being written to. It encaptured the feeling of unrequited feelings, passionate denial and irreversible limerence. Urdu is my mother tongue. And when there were poetries inside me that the English couldn't truly hold, my heart decided to bleed words in Urdu. However, I have included the English Translation of each poem for my non-Urdu speaking readers. I have tried to imitate the effect of each poem in English too. A section is dedicated to the vocabulary used in every poem for clarity. I hope you enjoy reading this work as much as I enjoyed bringing it to life. This is a compaliaition of poems that I have made myself. Most of these are my own work and if they are not then I will cite them and give credit to the author. These poems are free form. When I set up the chapters I took the poems I already had on paper and translated them over to online, they are in order from oldest to youngest. As I continue to write the mood of my poems begin to shift.

My pen had always scribbled from the ink of imagination, writing fiction and stories I've always longed to read. But I never would've imagined, I'd write from experience. To write through blood... through pain and tears... through anger and grief, was the last door I'd ever reach for. But it opened just for me. I never imagined I'd write poems, not about death, not about grief... not about a face I miss and can't wait too long to go back to sleep to see. No, not too soon like this. I'm not a poet, but here I am writing poetry. Hoping it would be another journey, but this time... to heal. And I do hope, that when I visit this book after a long time, I'd be somewhere better. And somehow better.

what drew your attention to this book? was it the delicate red rose on the cover? ... or was it its thorns? yes, the rose is daintily alluring, but you will only notice the thorns once you take a closer look. i like to imagine my poetry as this thorned rose, my carefully arranged words as its delicate petals: its beauty seemingly pleasing from afar. however, once you take a closer look, you will gradually see the thorns: a deeper and darker meaning disguised behind enriched metaphors. looking at the rose, you would also notice how it is hand drawn, denoting the fact that my poetry might not be perfect. it is intentionally written with some incorrect grammar (for instance, how almost all words are in lowercase) to give a more raw feel in the sense of how one may write down in a personal diary. the name "the rose comes with thorns" is not only an embodiment of my poetry writing style, but also the meaning behind it. just like how everything beautiful comes with its own flaws... ...the rose shall come with its own thorns. 🥀THE ROSE COMES WITH THORNS a poetry book written by huma zafar. #1 in "poem" out of 206k stories (2/5/24) #18 in "poetry" out of 336k stories (1/6/24)
