This journal is a collection of reflections, each capturing a distinct perspective of the writer's inner world. This section, in particular, turns its gaze toward her dreams-those fleeting visions that dwell between reality and reverie. Here, dreams are embodied by the poppy flower: a symbol of beauty and transience, blooming gently within the quiet garden of the mind.

A man of his word, he seemed to be, if you had met him, I'm sure you'd agree. He'd strut through the room with his head held high, he'd smile at pretty ladies and simply just try. But trying was unnecessary with his looks, He was like the men from my fairytale books. I stayed far away and watched as he worked, I'd watch his muscles flex through his sweaty t-shirt. I felt ashamed of my constant staring, the way my eyes would follow without even caring. But he had me hooked in that way, it's a pity that I couldn't stay. ________ A series of poems going through the most important memories of a dead girl, before her death.

This is where the light dims. The warmth turns cold, words turn sharp, and what once felt certain begins to slip like water through your hands. Here, the shadows thicken, and you are caught between holding on and letting go.

A collection of my poetry. Some of them I am actually quite proud of, some of them I just wanted to write. There are a bunch of different styles and topics, and I hope that you enjoy! I will probably update at least once a week if not more. Not all poems are from personal experience, some are from other's experiences or from what might happen to me or to others. If I make any spelling errors, please let me know in the comments! :) Some of the poems involve possible triggers.

⚜️ I play dark, she plays light Her move toward me, a destined sign I want her heart, I give her mine But my gambit, she declines ⚜️ Her pieces out, a closed defense But I can tell, she means "yes" My royal pin, she rejects So I keep her, in constant check ⚜️ I had played the perfect game My forcing moves she can't escape But her hidden queen, comes into play She stands her ground, stares me down, and states: CHECKMATE!! Started on :6/12/20 Ended on :16/12/20

This poem captures a real and chaotic Sunday morning that spiraled from peaceful oatmeal to a full emotional meltdown, followed by church parking lot drama, a barking emotional-support dog, a scarecrow-looking staff member demanding a pointless car move, and the panic-triggering boss at the center of it all. It's honest, funny, dramatic, emotional, and told with the kind of humor you use when life throws nonsense at you before 10 AM. If you've ever had a day where everything goes wrong for no reason, this poem is your whole soul on paper.
