I recently learn about line break in poetry and how it can influence the way readers read my poems. So here's my try. Enjoy!

A short poem

I will be posting poetries, written by me, all works are original and if you post something from this account, please give proper credits! I hope you guys enjoy this book. Here's a little about me! This is Shikhar Singhal, from India and Spoken word poetries gave me this interest, thanks to artists like Sarah Kay and Phil Kaye. I write because it have helped me excape my demons, I've been finally able to open up to myself, taking out those bottled up emotions, the other reason is that I wish to make a difference, by what I write, I want to inspire people and make a tad, and I feel that poetry is the best way to express oneself and that it can leave an powerful impact on one's life. This is my Life's Motto, to me a difference and help people in need, in what ever way I can. And in this case, by being open about my story, by sharing my live experiences with my pieces.

Have you ever seen a nightmare? I know you must have felt. What if that nightmare follows you? This is such a love story based on Deja vu.

Deep Feelings

"Watered by the Pain" is powerful, poetic, and deeply symbolic - it speaks to the way my struggles didn't just hurt me, they grew me. This poem reflects the journey of a young Black girl navigating bullying, emotional neglect, and isolation, ultimately finding strength in solitude and learning to root herself despite the storms. It's about resilience, self-worth, and becoming unshakable in the face of pain.

Dont be one of the ones to let life play out, becuase by the time you realize, your lifes already been played out, so while your sitting there with a bunch of regrets, like i should of done this or i should of talked to this person, why dont you just do it, remember the only person stopping you is you, the worst thing that can happen is regret, and regret just leads to more and more regret, which eventually leads to an unchecked bucket list of ideas and dreams you once wanted to do or maybe still want to do, im not saying you should empty out your bank account and take that trip to paris or buy a boat and sail across the atlantic ocean, unless you have the money for that, im saying if you have that bucket list, schedule each dream with a specific date, dont wait, or leave it up to fate, because sooner or later we'll all get old with 50 great mistakes

"Memory as Armor" is a powerful poem about turning past pain into strength. It explores how remembering betrayal, hurt, and hard lessons isn't weakness-it's wisdom. Rather than letting pain define her, the speaker wears it like armor, using memory as protection and proof of survival.
