There are times when you misjudge people's intentions by a mere action they did in your favour. This poem is about the thought process after having realised it.

"Listen Before the Song Ends" is a powerful spoken-word poem about being silenced, unheard, and the struggle to reclaim one's voice. Using the metaphor of a caged bird, it explores grief, resilience, and the frustration of people only appreciating your pain or expression after it's gone. The poem is a call to listen, recognize, and value voices before they fall silent forever.

Smoke & Silence is a collection of poems that shines a light on the quiet parts of life. It looks at what comes after a storm. It touches on feelings we often keep to ourselves and the memories we can't forget. The poems are like smoke-light but meaningful. They capture love, loss, and the feeling of missing someone. This book is for anyone who finds beauty in solitude. It's for those who find poetry in stillness and listen to the whispers of silence.

I will be posting poetries, written by me, all works are original and if you post something from this account, please give proper credits! I hope you guys enjoy this book. Here's a little about me! This is Shikhar Singhal, from India and Spoken word poetries gave me this interest, thanks to artists like Sarah Kay and Phil Kaye. I write because it have helped me excape my demons, I've been finally able to open up to myself, taking out those bottled up emotions, the other reason is that I wish to make a difference, by what I write, I want to inspire people and make a tad, and I feel that poetry is the best way to express oneself and that it can leave an powerful impact on one's life. This is my Life's Motto, to me a difference and help people in need, in what ever way I can. And in this case, by being open about my story, by sharing my live experiences with my pieces.

This is a poetry collection called "Dear you". It's about a character named Benjamin(Ben) that always feels like he is an outcast wherever he goes and "Dear you" is a story of Benjamin going through life and meeting with a lot of people that changes his life in some ways but his story is being told in a form of poetry. The chapters that Ben will go through is written under smaller themes where we, especially me, gets to see his personal life under a big lens. The themes that you might want to expect are Blue Town, Misfit, Moments before we almost collide, You, Love stories, Black heart, Me, Dear Boys, Youth, Where did they go?, A coming home, Healing pills, Goodbye, Youth, Dear boys, Misfit Pt2 and You Pt2. I really hope you will like his story as much as I do because writing his story has been such a journey and it's the kind of journey that I dare to share. ENJOY!
