Poirot Stories

This book will contain two short stories, both written by me. The first short story is the original short story and my second short story will be modifying my first short story into Agatha Christie's style with Hercule Poirot. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it. ~C

Katarzyna (Catherine) is at an age where life is supposed to settle into predictable patterns. According to the novels, adventure and romance are for the young. Devoted to her career, she embraces a solitary lifestyle-working remotely, living alone, and finding companionship only in her loyal dog. She envisions spending the rest of her days just like this. But fate, it seems, has other ideas. She's suddenly thrust 100 years into the past and crosses paths with the eccentric Belgian detective Hercule Poirot. This fateful encounter sets off a chain of events that will forever change the perspectives and destinies of one confirmed bachelor and a modern woman. This story is inspired by Kenneth Branag's portrayal of Poirot and the character of Katherine (the photograph), and will describe some events from both Christie's books and Branagh's films (SPOILERS!) while being faithful to neither.

Last Letter follows Maryam Khatoon, in the quest of answers surrounding the death of her husband in a fictional retelling of a pre liberation Bangladesh, then East Pakistan. Late in autumn, she receives a letter her husband wrote, three months ago. Its contents make her question his 'suicide'. She approaches the police constable-cum-detective Morad Saz to solve the case. Morad is careful not to mix the case with routine police investigations.Subsequent revelations unfold the mystery of Zafar's death and Morad soon finds himself in the midst of a planned political uprising that threaten the unity of East and West Pakistan. He must find a solution before the culprit decides to strike again.

Just me taking some random book characters and giving them backstories or scenes from long ago. Most of these will be from classic stories. *Any characters I use do NOT belong to me, but to the authors of the books they are originally in*

A not so subtle parody of the two infamous detectives, Hercule Holmes however has his own methods. Tobacco pipes, magnifying glasses, boutonnières, he has got all the things a detective needs (except maybe a destined chronicler). So come along and watch as he goes on his adventures, solving murders and robberies in the most ridiculous fashion to finding his very own and much needed arch-nemesis. He might run out his wits sometimes, but there are two things he seems to never run out of. Good luck and his signature gaping smirk. (First part released on 23rd March, 2022. Through a thorough investigation, many thing unravel and finally answer the question: "Who murdered Mr.Plantak?" This short mystery/crime story is a great summer read. [This is my first ever story, any suggestions and criticism is more than welcome!]
