The Birth of the Shadow The "shadow" has never been just a reflection that follows a person on the ground.

mercurial (adj.) 1. (of a person) subject to sudden or unpredictable changes of mood or mind. 2. of or containing the element mercury, a poisonous element. This is an ongoing poetry collection expressing both the beauty and torment of life.

A beautiful flower that everyone loved turned out to be poisonous for everything it reaches, but some don't get poisoned by it and no one knows how or why that some won't get away from the flower because of a single contract it made with each of them. Are they humans? Animals? Objects? What exactly is that flower that is beautiful yet poisonous to everything and everyone.

Originally, this is a first draft of a piece of coursework. I've changed it since, so why not put the first drafted piece here? In life, we all have chances. We all have things that happen to us that we never would expect. Be them good or bad, or downright nasty. But everything is always so much harder to believe when the wool is pulled from our eyes; and the princess dream that every young girl has had about a prince, a dance, and a meal that makes your mouth water with the very scent is tantalizingly laid out in front of you. Spiders are very clearly evil. From their long skinny eight legs, to their pincers at the top of their head. Even a spider whom is not poisonous can still bite, and can use it's webbing to attack. I'd know. When I was just 7 years old, I had a mysterious dream. Now I realize it was trying to warn me. This book will tell you of my horrific interactions with spiders, the legend of Arachne, why spiders are terrible in general and more.
