Ash and Serena were surprised by their close bond, openly sharing food. Things took a turn when tsume's old friend, Riley, appeared, causing jealousy in Gary. Riley's words about their friendship sparked a Pokemon battle between the two friends. later Gary hoped his proposal to tsume would go smoothly, but it didn't turn out as expected.
