It has been 49 years seen Team Galactic managed to create a new world using the power of the Lords of Space and Time, Palkia and Dialga. They divided the people of the world into 10 districts with each district having their own unique types but they were all watched by Team Galactic for any signs of rebellion. To stop any ideas of rebellion they created the Games, an event that takes place every year where each district has to sacrifice one boy and girl along with their beloved Pokemon to the Arena where at the sound of the last horn being blown, 19 trainers are dead and 1 victor will stand.
