It's been 12 years since the events of Pokémon Journeys. Ash has lost his title as Monarch of the World Coronations Series and hasn't been seen since. Serena has become Kalos Queen and a two-time Top Coordinator but wants to see the person she loves most again and confess her feelings, despite Ash being dense when it comes to romantic love. Now, as an adult in her late 20s, Serena finds her chance when two major competitions, the Pokémon Champion of Champions League and the Grand Festival World Series, are taking place in the city of Evig Sigr in the artificial region of Herløv. Along the way, she befriends Ash's old traveling companion, Dawn, another trainer named Timothy, a mysterious woman covering half of her face with a blindfold named Drazzema, and ultimately reunites with Ash. Together, they go on adventures, solve a mystery, and compete in the tournaments. All the while, Serena tries to help Ash understand love, while romance roams around their friends and enemies. When they arrive at Galar, they bump into their friend, Coovers of the International Police, who is working on a case for Professor Magnolia. She claims that Chairman Rose is attempting to prevent an energy crisis by using the power of a Legendary Pokemon named the Darkest Day a.k.a. Eternatus. The chairman is aware that if Eternatus's power cannot be contained, it will cause Pokemon to Dynamax and rampage, destroying the Galar region, but he cares little about the danger. Unfortunately, the International Police can't do anything without proof, but then Coovers comes up with a plan to use Timothy's accomplishments as a trainer and his role in stopping Team Rocket to gain Chairman Rose's attention, earn his trust and ultimately lead Timothy to Eternatus, thus getting the proof they need to stop the chairman's dangerous plan. So, with their new companion, Gwen, Timothy, Coovers, and Electchu travel through the Galar region as Timothy competes in the Gym Challenge to impress Chairman Rose. But as the mission goes on, love is in the air. Coovers has developed a crush on Professor Magnolia's granddaughter, Sonia, who may have feelings for him as well. At the same time, Timothy finds himself stuck in a love triangle. One of Chairman Rose's most trusted minions, Ezria Markenel, has developed feelings for him after hearing of his deeds in defeating Team Rocket. At the same time, Gwen begins to adore Timothy, too. Will relationships bloom? Will hearts be broken? And will Chairman Rose be stopped before it's too late?

After the events of Pokemon XY&Z, Serena decides to go to Kanto with Ash to compete in Pokemon contests. While they're in Pallet Town, however, they meet a 28-year-old trainer named Timothy who forms a rivalry with Ash and challenges him to compete in the Indigo League again. Thus, with Serena's permission, Ash joins Serena on her journey through the Kanto region. Along the way they come across Ash's traveling companions as Serena competes in Pokemon contests and Ash rechallenged the gym where he didn't earn his badge properly. But unknown to Ash and his friends, Timothy, his Raichu, Electchu, and his best friend, Coovers from the International Police, are on a mission to go through the Battle Frontier in order to find Brandon who may have found the Gieldanstone: a white jewel that makes Arceus itself obey the will of anyone who holds it. The two men and the Raichu are attempting to retrieve the Gieldanstone before Team Rocket gets it and uses it for their ultimate plan to finally control all Pokemon and rule the world. The story unfolds during Pokémon GO, where Ash embarks on a new adventure and encounters Kora Blackthorn, a mysterious 10-year-old girl with a shadowed past. Kora's life took a dark turn when her village was destroyed by an unknown force, leaving her as the only survivor. Haunted by fragmented memories of that night, she was left with a darkening illness she calls Shadow Decay. The illness not only weakens her body but has affected both her eyes, causing the sclera to darken, black veins to emerge, and sometimes inflicting her with excruciating pain. Kora suffers from haunting visions of a colossal creature roaming ancient landscapes-visions that led her to a ruined jungle temple, where she encountered Ramarak, a massive, armored beast that had appeared only in her dreams. The bond between Kora and Ramarak was immediate, a connection rooted in shared suffering and an unspoken understanding. They have become an inseparable pair, traveling alongside Ash, as Kora seeks answers about her illness and the secrets tied to Ramarak's origins. She believes the key to curing her lies within the ancient ruins and the mysterious energy that binds her to Ramarak. Despite the toll Shadow Decay takes on her, Kora experiences rare bursts of heightened senses during episodes, yet each episode brings her closer to physical collapse. Alongside Ash, Pikachu and Ramarak, Kora hopes to uncover the mysteries of her past, find healing, and perhaps a sense of belonging.

Now on the way to Kalos for their last trip before their eighteenth, Kyra, Lucario, Nate, and Willow can barely contain their excitement. Not only will there be plenty of new pokémon and friends to meet along the way, there is also Mega Evolution to look into and master. Although looking forward to the journey ahead, Kyra is rightfully nervous as a result of having had to face Team Galactic and Team Plasma in the past.
