When 15 year old Veronica longs to have a horse every thing seems to stop her from having one. She wishes she could have a palomino horse. But when her parents break up she gives up on her dream for a while. Then She finds something ahe is interested in and because of it she makes new friends. That something is pole bending.

Her parents died when she was only 13 years old. Her father was a calf roping champion and her mother was a street racer. Her father died when he was going overseas to do calf roping in England when a big storm hit and shot the plane down. There were no survivors. A couple weeks later her mom died when she wrecked her car in a street race. When she escapes her boyfriend, she takes her beloved stallion, Nickel, to Montana to live there where she meets another cowboy, Carter Eastwood. Will he show her that not all cowboys are the same? Her and her horse are one of the amazing pairs of teenage racers. She stays with her dad and three brothers. She also has friends but not very approved ones. Surprisingly enough she has four best friends only they are all from rival families. Her bestest friend is Madilyn from the show jumping family aka the Jones. Along with Josie from the dressage aka lake family, Mark from the pole bending aka McMechens and lastly Ace from the barrel racing aka strider family. Just a girl with a dream. A dream of becoming a horse trainer. Cassidy gets the chance of a lifetime and a cute cowboy named Colton to work with on Butte Star ranch, one of the biggest training ranches in Northern California. As well as trying to get a training job, she attends rodeos for barrel racing and pole bending. The 16 year old girl gets to rope with a cowboy who offers her a training job on his fathers ranch. After an accident occurs the two get closer and it seems a relationship may form. Completed
