Finley has changed her name.
She's Audrey now and Audrey has no past and no promise of a future at the rate she's going.

After answering an ad for a new roommate she thinks she's finally shaken every one off of her trail... until Everett. Finley realizes quickly that the man who has rented a room out to her is a police officer who is determined to unravel every lie she has ever told. But Finley is a whirlwind of unintentional trouble and even an officer of the law has close to no hope of saving her from the man who is determined to enslave her once again.

"I can't run, I can't hide, I can't even disappear. No matter where I go, he is going to be there. Waiting for me," I say quietly, avoiding Everett's piercing, probing aquamarine eyes. There's the familiar panic rising within me, the pain snd anxiety that is always lingering too close to the surface.
At the sight of my fear, it's as if a switch has gone off in him. I can sense it. The switch between simple man and a man dedicated to protect and serve. Now, as he hovers over my naked body, he feels indestructible. A barrier between me and the evil I've been dodging every day for the last year.
He grabs my face between his big, warm hands and forces me to look at him.
"Audrey," he murmurs and I hold back the wince, "You don't have to run anymore. I'm here for you. I'll die for you."
I bite my lip as I stare into his soul, the soul he has opened up for a stranger, a person who has done nothing but spin webs of lies around him.
And before I can stop him, douse his fire with the cold fervor of my truth, he has descended upon me. His lips, his body, his heart, his soul. Everett has cacooned me in a safety I do not deserve. And I revel in one more lie as he marks me as his.
