Glass Weather" explores the architecture of power inside institutional spaces-how visibility can distort as much as it reveals. The poem extends the metaphor of glass beyond the familiar ceiling, imagining an entire climate shaped by inheritance, tone, and unspoken agreements. I was interested in stillness as a form of authority: influence that does not announce itself, resistance that does not always roar. The speaker navigates systems that test gravity unevenly, where identity refracts experience rather than dilutes it. Ultimately, this poem asks what it means to inhabit space without shrinking, to remain intact without hardening, and to recognize that sometimes the barrier was never as solid as it seemed.

In a world where video game characters and humans coexist with each other, Princess Sherbert (the former damsel-in-distress of the Enchanted Quest arcade games) has become the LAPD's first-ever 16-bit detective. This story is based in the universe of the American Police Drama, 'The Rookie', during (at the time of production) later in Season 8 (episode 2+) following the main narrative of the fandom based couple 'Chenford' starring Sergeant Lucy Chen and Sergeant Tim Bradford. As the Mid-Wilshire station is already hotwired with action packed drama and thickening plot lines, there is another anchor dropped onto the station, a new rookie. As a member of the Field Training Officer Program, Tim Bradford reluctantly agrees to Field Train this new Rookie. However, for this new rookie, he is going to experience the crazy adventures perceived through the Mid-Wilshire division of the Los Angeles Police Department. After getting into a heated scuffle with a biker gang during his training, Tim believes he should be transferred to the Night Shift, under the training of recently promoted, Sergeant Lucy Chen. Will he survive? Will he fail? Will he strive?
