It started out life as a short story but its characters just took hold of me until it grew into what you have at hand. The characters and settings are an amalgam of a lifetime of experience, sometimes intense, of all sorts of people and places. In themselves, however, they are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to real persons, places or events, other than what is clearly public knowledge, is coincidental. If you're looking for sex in every paragraph, you need to look elsewhere.

There was a boy with polio. He has a crutch unable to really walk very well. As the days go on and he he slowly fading from this world he writes about his days. This story was given to me by my sister so I just have gone through and made edits and stuff but yeah.

This is a story about loss and love. It is about denial and acceptance. About living and dying. Moving, breathing. Anger, pain. Depression, bargaining. It is about love. It is about grief. You don't get over the death of a loved one, because, simply put, love never dies. You keep living until you feel alive again. For just as the sawn's last song is the sweetest of it's life, so loss is made endurable by love, and it is love that will echo through eternity.

All the other kids love Cecil and he will always find time to learn with them, spend playtime with them or even just be there when they need him at school.
