She was a night blood. her great great grandmother worked in secret with the scientists aboard Polaris and just before it was shot down she received a list of the ingredients and compound for the night blood. she gave it to herself and then it was passed on through her bloodline in secret. Then, they were sent to the ground, where night bloods were worshiped and seen as leaders.
