House Liu, a reclusive and little-regarded noble house, ruled the smallest and easternmost of the Three Sisters-an island nestled in the cold waters of the Bite near the Vale of Arryn. Settled during the reign of King Jaehaerys I, the Lius were known not for war or dragons, but for dance, music, and a culture shaped as much by Yi Tish tradition as by Westerosi custom.
At its head stood Lord Zixaun Liu, a man as unconventional as his house. Unwed by choice and unapologetic in his preference for male lovers, he scandalized the realm by naming his niece, Lady Daenerys Liu, as his heir. Daenerys was the eldest daughter of his late sister, Lady Catelyn-herself unmarried, and the mother of four acknowledged bastards. Three of the girls bore the unmistakable mark of Valyrian blood: hair pale as moonlight, a silent provocation to a realm obsessed with lineage and legitimacy.
With no legitimate sons and only daughters to inherit, House Liu was widely expected to vanish-either extinguished by time or driven back across the seas to Yi Ti. Its name was spoken softly, if at all.
Then came the Dance of the Dragons.
As the realm tore itself apart, betrothals were forged and shattered, loyalties tested, and love took root in the most dangerous of hours. In a war defined by fire and blood, the women of House Liu found opportunity where others found ruin.
They would not retreat.
They would not disappear.
And the Ladies of Liu would ensure their house endured-no matter the cost.
