During a nuclear war hundreds of years ago, the earth was destroyed. Few humans survived the war, the ones that did fled to outer space. Now orbiting around the healing earth was the ark, home to the last of humankind. It's a place of science, technology, and survival, but under the Gaia contract, rules are strict and painfully enforced. Anybody who breaks the rules will pay with their lives, unless they are under the age of 21. Until, then they are locked up until they are put to trial at age 21 where their fate will be decided. Most don't survive, Sable Evermore thought she would meet the same fate. But at the age of 19 she and 99 other criminals were sent down to earth. Sable, who has been locked up since the age of 13, had never thought she would ever be alive to see this day, yet alone be the one to walk once again on earth. And yet here she was. The thing is though, it doesn't take long before problems start to arise, and when Sable starts to get haunted by the past, will she even have the will to survive? And what would happen if her only friend from the ark is banished? Or when the 100 need to teach themselves to hunt and gather food? Or when they realize they aren't alone?
