This short story is for people who are learning french at a beginners level! I understand the struggle of being a beginner in a foreign language and struggling to find easily accessible materials for your target language! The vocabulary I have included is easy to understand, and new/harder words will be posted at the end! This story is approximately A1/A2 level.

Saskia is heartsick and lonely, stuck in a country far from home. Cecilie doesn't know what love is, but she knows that she wants it- if she could come to terms with the fact that she's never going to live the white picket fence life her village expects her to live. When the two neighbors quite literally bump into each other, it seems like love at first sight... until Cecilie discovers that Saskia speaks very limited English. Yes, I did believe that speaking and translating over twenty different languages for a living was a normal thing to be able to do, and I still do think so. However the use of the word normal is such an...enigma to me now. It all started with a sweet, charming strangely simple man I knew as Steve. Others knew him as other things. Super soldier, Captain America, but I just knew him as Steve. He helped me understand who I was. It was hard to pinpoint the exact moment when I truly became who I was. I wasn't just good old Rachel Bennett anymore, that was for sure. I was something, someone so much more now. I'd been through struggles, a million of them, physical and mental. It took me a moment to realize that a struggle is one's greatest strength. Being an Avenger was one thing. Navigating life?
