When a breakup happens, Nicole chooses to lie about being in a new relationship with someone unknown. However, this "someone" suddenly returns, ready to turn her life upside down. Nicole had a wonderful and under control life. Her parents had a more than stable financial situation, she was always surrounded by friends, went to parties frequently and got very high grades. However, during summer vacation, her relationship of almost a year ended. Her friends were very worried, and started doing everything they could to make her forget about this boy. Their attitude may have been noble, but Nicole wasn't ready to start another relationship. In order to not hurt her friends and preserve their feelings, Nic lies about having an affair with the son of one of her father's partners, who was currently studying in Italy, with no expected return. Everything was going well, until Ethan returned to the United States. With the intention of finishing his last semester of high school, he starts going to the same academy as Nicole. As if things couldn't get worse, they are off to a rough start, bickering about the smallest things. Despite that, Nic will try to put their differences aside and ask for a huge favor: for him to pretend to be her boyfriend. And, although both of them begin their fake relationship believing it will be one of the worst experiences ever, they end up surprising themselves when an unexpected event turns everything upside down, making them realize they have way more things in common then they thought... An otaku can either be a fan of a part of Japanese popular culture, such as animation, comics, young adult literature; or a person indulging in an indoor hobby, sometimes to a degree of social awkwardness. As far as I'm concerned, I'm an otaku whose hobbies include literature, sciences, Japanese anime subculture, games, music and artforms (with obvious overlaps!). Her eyes went wide at that. "Fuck! You're right!" "So I guess we're finally getting some action." He told her, securing the gun strapped to his belt. "Are you ready, Catwoman?" She took a deep breath, and then released it. Shit was about to go down. "As ready as I will ever be, Robin." His mouth fell open. "Robin? Really?" "Sorry, you're not really Batman material." Erin shrugged, and then laughed - a little too unapologetically for his liking. Sam decided to ignore her comment for a while. They had much important things to do. Finally an opportunity had presented itself, and he was going to make damn sure the Captain was proud of them. "NYC, rest assured. Officer Davis is coming to the rescue!" * * * Fresh out of the police academy, Sam Davis is more than ready to serve and protect the citizens of his beloved NYC. Together with his best friend - and now partner - Erin Morgan, nothing can stop him from fulfilling his destiny to become a great cop like his father. Except maybe...himself.
