"Wait, do I know you?" Celeste asks, cocking her head to the side.
My eyes trail down to the floor, gripping the container of my cakes tightly. "I don't know, I don't think I've ever seen you before," I manage to stammer.
Though I'm not looking at her, I can feel her eyes on me, as though they were pricking me with needles to be able to investigate me thoroughly. "Is that so?"
