Only her father Andrew , best friend Laura, childhood friend Mark , and older brother know, she isn't mute, she isn't depressed, she isn't emotionless. She hides away who she is and waits to see if anyone will try to know the real Sarah. Steven is considered cold to strangers, his friends know he's kind and caring but from the outside he seems frightening. He doesn't know why everyone stares at the silent girl. And isn't to fond about finding out WHY they stare, he just lets her be her from across the room. One day Sarah is humiliated by a cheerleader, pouring soup on her and causing most of the people to laugh, and runs out of the school and right into a guy with bright eyes and a cold exterior and in her hurry she lets out a single word " Damn."
