so this is kind of my own headcannon and it's mostly Dcamu, but like with elements brought in from other DC things and my own added lore that isn't really confirmed nore denied anywhere in the movies. It is supposed to be in the timeline after "The Judas Contract" and all of the titans have been sent to live off without Dick and Kori while they help the justice league fight minor crimes at the moment, and also as Dick and Kori focus on their relationship without the titans. But as things pick up they realize that Slade found a way back (lowkey stole this idea from the early 2000s Teen Titans, forgive me idk how to make big hero plots, I'm just here for the character development) they realize they need backup. This story does switch through POV's but like I don't repeat anything from different sides, sometimes I switch to a narrator POV too. Throughout this all story the characters are kind of having their own discoveries of things, so if you are someone who likes stories that have more lore than just the conflict then you have come to the right place. this book takes place two months before Harley and joker were at the top according to my book when you love a psychopath.. this is from the point of view of joker and Harley and a little of ivy and catwoman..on how joker was first abusive.. and how Harley went to ivy and catwoman my own virsion -sucidie squad style harley.so its really one of those prequeils where im filling in the gaps of the story

Joker is obsessed with Batman, and not the regular kind. This is different. Its abnormal. Jokers thoughts are mainly clouded about the dark knight, or how he'll please him, or in batmans words irritate him, with his crimes he'd commit. The clown loved, or more desired the bats expressions even though he wore a cowl every night. He desired just to see the bats lips curl into a frown, or how his eyes would narrow when he spoke bad words with amusement. Jokers eyes would twinkle with a look of lust in a sadomasochistic way. He found pleasure in the pain Batman gave him, all the punches being thrown, all the blood being spat, bruises being made - The broken gears in his head made his heart race whenever he was in physical pain, it made him want to keep striving. Joker wants to get closer to the bat, closer in the way of intimacy. He wanted to learn more about the Dark knight, he needed to see what was behind that bat cowl. But as the further the clown tries to get in this act, the more serious it gets.
