Courtney Allen was a typical 18-year-old rich girl until mid-April when a strange new kid named Nick shows up. Having not met him, Courtney is informed that he was looking for her. She skips class after feeling sick and finds herself in the woods near a highway. After being in a terrible accident, Courtney winds up in the hospital with virtually no memory of anything. The accident and Nick were both odd, but when Courtney begins to see how people die when she meets them for the first time, she knows her life will never be the same. How will she cope with the stress of her friends, her family, and her strange gift especially after seeing how and how soon Nick will be gone?
