"It was Hell's kitchen. On the dirty checker floors, was blood. Red mush stained over almost the entire floor. And I see Mommy's body lying there motionless, surrounded by gross, rotten inhumane-like things. They were tearing her apart, eating her flesh, guts and any other remaining traces of meat left with their long, clawed fingers. It was them. They were exactly the ones I remember seeing on T.V. with mommy and daddy; they were the things called 'zombies'." 12 year old Rima Orlume loses her parents during a zombie virus attack. Luckily, she was saved by her father's dear friend...or was she? ______________________________________________________ Copyrighted © 2011 10deadmask01. All rights reserved. ASCENDANTS OF THE FALLEN EARTH " When fire fell, silver whispered." The night the sky bled silver, a comet tore Earth open, unleashing Celestia-a raw, living power that reshaped the world. Now, in a fractured age of overgrown ruins and mutated beasts, humanity clings to existence in underground havens, where some are born with its volatile light in their veins. Eris, touched by the silver, battles the untamed power that threatens to consume him. Kaylah remains his fiercely loyal anchor, her presence a shield against the monstrous transformation he fears. But their fragile peace is crumbling. Mutants and "Awakened" clans seek to control the world. And in the deep tunnels, a mysterious force, marked by a pulsing spiral, awakens to its unique resonance. ASCENDANTS OF THE FALLEN EARTH, aka WHEN THE SKY BLED SILVER, is a post-apocalyptic fantasy about unbreakable bonds, the terrifying evolution of power, and the desperate fight to reclaim humanity from the ashes of a transformed world. "WHEN THE SKY BLED SILVER" was the first title of this novel. 2025 Myobee aka Ayeshi Mio. All rights reserved. This work is an original work of fiction created by Myobee Elsewhere aka Ayeshi Mio. Dr. June Nakamura had been called many things in her career-prodigy, visionary, lunatic-but above all else, she was brilliant. The number of doctorates she possessed was creeping toward triple digits, each one a trophy of obsession. She was, by every measurable standard, the most intelligent woman alive. That was why she had been given the Project. The concept was elegant in its simplicity: a gas that could render entire battalions unconscious without a drop of blood spilled. An EMP for the human body. Not a weapon of death, but of pause. In theory, the device could end war-or at least press the world's endless conflicts into silence long enough for peace to take root. June believed in it. Believed in herself. And for the first time in her life, she was wrong. The test chamber was packed with dignitaries, generals, scientists, and investors-hundreds of witnesses hungry for proof. They watched as the first human subject was lowered into the sealed room, the faint green vapor hissing into existence. The subject did not grow drowsy. He did not collapse into gentle hibernation. Instead, his skin warped, his bones reshaped, fur erupting in violent cascades. His eyes went wild, not with terror, but with a terrifying emptiness. When it was over, there was no man in the chamber. Only a humanoid beast, animal-featured and utterly confused. His gaze wandered the walls as if he had never seen them before. When asked his name through the intercom, he only tilted his head, ears twitching. He had forgotten. He had forgotten everything. Not a sedative, then. Not a miracle. A metamorphosis. June's heart turned to ice as murmurs spread through the auditorium. Some recoiled in horror. Others, strangely, leaned forward with fascination. What they saw was not the death of a project, but the birth of something unforeseen. June had not ended war. She had ended humanity. And before anyone could stop it, the new world had begun.

"The world ended. Well it was bound to wasn't it? At the time, it was not the fact that it was destroyed that came as a shock, it is was how we survived that caused the most disruption. Little more than five hundred human beings survived and every last one of them is somebody that I know." The end of the world was only the beginning of the downward spiral that became socially anxious Laura MacPhaid's existence as humanity fights to find their place in the galaxy. Okay, so, the story so far; about ten years ago there was another world war - we're not sure how it started, all we know is that everything happened; nuclear bombs, dirty bombs, chemical weapons, weaponized viruses, and regular old-fashioned warfare and in a few months the world's population went from seven billion to... well, no one's sure. Seven million? A hundred Million? A hundred thousand? So, whatever your depopulation conspiracy theory is, there's probably some of it in what happened.
