The Hunger Games never ended. Five years after the rebellion failed, the Capitol still rules-and the Games continue. Callie Jones, a sixteen-year-old from the Seam of District 12, is reaped alongside Michael Cameron, thrown into an arena built to erase hope. With Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark forced to mentor once more, the past collides with the present in a game meant to remind Panem who's in control. This year, survival isn't enough. Because some stories aren't allowed to end.

Post-Mockingjay, follows Katniss's life after she returns back to District 12 after the war, follows Peeta in his difficult journey to also get back to Katniss, and even pulls in some Gale here and there. But while Katniss and Peeta seem to finally be safe and free they are unceremoniously shoved into the fierce life of battle.

Set at 5 years after their first games. Katniss and Peeta went back to the Capitol to do an interview. The team were talking about something private but little that they know their microphones are on. Read what happens next. Peeta never witnessed a happy marriage in his own household growing up. Katniss witnessed the side effects of never ending love, but a broken heart in her own. Both are willing to write their own story.

Katniss has returned to District 12, with only the comfort of Buttercup. Until Peeta returns that is. They navigate the water, trying to build a solid foundation for the future. They hit some brick walls, but they continue to persevere.

At only 18 years old how will Katniss and Peeta heal after all the torture they have endured? Just a story of Katniss and Peeta navigating their new normal after the war.

"I don't know what's real anymore, it's like my mind is playing tricks on me. I start on my list and then everything runs together." Katniss stares at Dr. Aurelias and he nods his head. "Let me hear." He scribbles something in his notebook and she inwardly groans. "My name is Katniss Everdeen, I'm eighteen years old, I'm from district twelve.." She struggles to finish. "Katniss, repeat after me. My name is Katniss Everdeen, I'm eighteen years old, I'm from district twelve, I was the Mockingjay, I am a mom, and Peeta Mellark is dead." "No," She whispers. Post mockingjay. Peeta and Katniss have been through a lot. The games and the rebellion may have changed them but what About their love? Can the beauty forgive the beast and can the beast forgive himself? Will the StarCrossedLovers mend each other ? Is their love real or not real?

Peeta and Katniss have been recovering from the tragedies of the Rebellion for the past fourteen years. Katniss has nightmares and Peeta has flashbacks occasionally, but with each other they've lasted through it all. New obstacles are thrown, but if they have each other, they can get through the good times and the bad.

Still she chooses to try. With the help of her best friend Caspian, and his older brother Finnick. She believes they can face anything. The only question left, is will her story end how it began?
