The year is 2008(AD), and the world is in the throes of another 70s revival. Nobody knew how or why it all began. That is the least of humanity's problems, however. Reality itself seems to be breaking down, to the dismay of scientists, corporate titans and the ruling elites/reptilian demigods that have lorded it over the existing structure for countless eons. Secret agent Cassius Croon is hired to investigate a series of particularly bizarre events transpiring around the globe. They suspect he is the One. Actually, he is the None.

A short romantic piece about a girl, a video game, a small windy town, and Rory Yiik. Though inherently a silly concept, I tried my darndest to bring the tale of a Yiik fan hopelessly in love, and I hope it shows.

"Normal people only get one chance. One shot at this and if they blow it, they're done. Me? I got three. And sometimes I think that's more cruel than if I only had one." In a city of depravity and dark shadows Sasha's only concern is staying alive. And running from a nameless evil that promises to reign supreme in their game of Death. So when forced to finally confront her demons and the darkness that has followed her since she was a little girl by a man just as desperate to survive the city of black as her, does she stand a chance to come out the victor? After all she already has two strikes. One more and she's out. *This is a post-modern story meaning there are elements of magical realism. Not exactly fantasy, but on the verge of it. Or you could call it paranormal. Supernatural. Whatever tickles your fancy lol*

What if the Twilight series were Catholic? This is what happens in this heartwrenching novel of a young man of only 800 years old! Vampires are no longer outcasts in this world, as you read of Floyd's acceptance into the ranks of the most prestigious Church. His knowledge, his friends, and his sister, Lucia Fiat, help him understand what it means to live, when the world around him has lost its rigor. Throughout his life, Floyd has been in many shoes. Once as a scribe for St. Thomas Aquinas. Twice a prison guard at the London Tower. Much later in life, he meets a poor nun on the streets of India which makes him reflect on his broken past. In many words or none at all, Floyd is determined to save his soul from eternal decay, from succumbing to an inner hell where the worm never dies.

In Lungmen, many lives come and go. Whether it be gangsters in the slums, or the nobles of high society, the city is always breathing. One day, Lee's Detective Agency (a tight-knit, 'family' of varied backgrounds) receive a phone call from a name holding lots of wealth, and a job regarding a hostage daughter... The ensuing rescue, while easy, weighs heavy on the minds of everyone as the young Lupo girl they save quickly becomes acquainted with the members of Lee's, whether it be cooking with Hung, dragging Waai Fu out on shopping trips, or learning medicine from Aak, she quickly goes from client to friend... However, their troubles are far from over, ensuing pressure from Reunion across Terra has many up in anxiety, not to mention the Infected riots in Chernobog. With Rhodes Island Pharmaceuticals Inc hiring all those they can to battle the looming threat over Terra, Lee's Detective Agency is far from excluded in what is to come... ~ Hai! This is all an Arknights Headcanon story from yours truly. I've really grown to love the world and it's characters, and certainly adore some specific ones (Aak..) and ultimately decided to kick into some writing and share some works with you all. I dunno how long this'll be, or how good, so we'll just have to see! Expect to see some self-ship shenanigans cuz. Yeah :3 ~

DISCLAIMER - This is not a traditional narrative. The narrative structure tilts toward documentary/archive file-style storytelling but a very informal epistolary. The following are symbolic accounts recording ideas as if they were things-and deeper or vast than that, an eldritch. Three ancient metaphysical entities: Law, Power, and Void are symbolic forces that shaped narrative and existence but primarily, meta. The root forces that sculpt the very idea of meta itself. These entries are intended to enlighten, disrupt perception, and survey what exists outside of conventional storytelling.

There, between the pulses of light, do you see me? I am Nagi. I stand before you. I am in the shadows. I am between the shadows. Some say I am the shadows. To you I am invisible. I do not exist in your world, but you do exist in mine.

"The Beowulf Poet and His Real Monsters" opens a new line of inquiry into the Old English poem, specifically trauma theory, which attempts to map the psychological typography of an author and his or her culture, that is, when the text appears to be wrought of traumatic experience. Indicators of a “trauma text” are narrative techniques often associated with postmodernism — expressly, intertextuality, repetition, a dispersed or fragmented voice, and a search for powerful language. The anonymous Beowulf poet made extensive use of all four narrative techniques, suggesting he and his culture were suffering from traumatic stress. The author brings together knowledge from myriad disciplines — among them history, anthropology, sociology, biology, and psychology, with special emphases on the branches of psychoanalysis and neuropsychology — and focuses his trauma-theory reading on the poem’s original language. The monograph was awarded the D. Simon Evans Prize for distinguished scholarship, and it has been acquired by major libraries across the globe, including the British Library, the Library of Congress, Australian National University, Qatar National Library, Notre Dame University, Duke University, and Purdue University — to name just a few.
