Reality itself seems to be breaking down, to the dismay of scientists, corporate titans and the ruling elites/reptilian demigods that have lorded it over the existing structure for countless eons. Secret agent Cassius Croon is hired to investigate a series of particularly bizarre events transpiring around the globe. They suspect he is the One. Actually, he is the None.

Set in a California valley rebuilding after worldwide collapse, Among Sinners is a dark, character-driven mosaic of interwoven parables about ruin, pride, mercy, and the long road home. A city sleeps beneath artificial light, its streets folding into themselves like memory. Faces blur in neon and shadow, and every reflection carries both question and accusation. The air vibrates with murmurs of what might have been, while footsteps trace patterns that loop endlessly, unseen by those who walk them. Before and during the war, Pearl Harbor became a massive naval hotspot for the Pacific Fleet, and the Leeward Community College expanded massively for drone specializations, as well as coast guard operations. Defenses were installed around this part of the city, but not anywhere else. During the nuclear attacks, Pearl City was fairly lucky, being hit by only two warheads. Both these warheads detonated in roughly the same spot, obliterating only the areas west of what is now Cranetown. There is a ship stranded nearby, this is a Zumwalt-class destroyer known as the USS Erwin. A few years ago, the Atlanta Crisis occurred in Atlanta, a major conflict between the USCPF and the CDF regarding land and resources. This resulted in the USCPF splitting along ideological and geographical lines. Both USCPFs still have similar missions, and maintain contact with each other. However, the East USCPF is at war with the CDF, whereas the West USCPF isn't. Peace is only an illusion, however, and war could break out at any time in two notable hotspots: Los Angeles or Pearl City. Narrated by a perceptive and lovable ranch horse, the story concerns a distinguished U.S Senator who has gone to a bucolic rehab center out of his flagrant addiction to sex, and a young schitzoid cartoonist who admires him and will go to any twisted ends to get the TRUTH for all this Senator is worth. Meanwhile, the rehab center itself is more than just a backdrop for the sordid deeds, nay, this treatment facility might just have some secrets of its own, and a "creative" role to play in the Senator's full recovery...
