When Ben Solo turns his back on the First Order, aiding the Resistance in a crucial battle taking place at least a year after the events of The Last Jedi, he is sentenced to be exiled, and with him, Rey, with whom he shares a powerful Force Bond. He is being condemned for the crimes he committed against the galaxy when he called himself Kylo Ren; Rey is going with him because she was the one to defend him in his trial. Together, they are sent to a remote forest/mountain planet for five years with minimal contact from friends/family at the end of each year. During their exile, Rey and Ben will learn many things, not just about each other, but also about the true nature of the Force, and of themselves. And maybe, they will discover that something even deeper and more powerful than a Force Bond is keeping them together (no, they are not related).

After shutting out Ben, Rey can't help but think that she made the wrong choice. She is constantly told by her friends that things will get better after Luke's death, but she isn't mourning Luke, she's Ben. After Rey shut him out Ben went on ruling the galaxy. Whenever the force bond connects him to Rey he sits still and silently watches her. She has never once opened her eyes from meditating and talked to him. He eventually stopped intentionally connecting with her. After Crait, the Resistance is all but decimated. It will take time before they regain the strength and numbers to be anything more than an annoyance to the First Order. In the meanwhile, the Force bond between Rey and the new Supreme Leader not only continues but grows. They begin to be able to see one another's surroundings, touch things... and as the bond grows, so does their relationship. Mutual distrust becomes begrudging acceptance. Then a strange sort of friendship. And then... well... ;) Post TLJ Reylo fanfic; VERY Rey/Ben centric; will focus almost exclusively on times when the bond brings them together; A VERY patient slow burn that devotes a lot of time to character development. To his dismay, the Last Jedi Rey is overtaken by the dark with promises of saving what she loves in the midst of her isolation and loneliness. Kylo Ren has only one mission: save Rey from herself and restore balance in the Force.

In a New world ruled by Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, the Resistance is weak. But there is a rumor about a young Jedi who defeated Snoke. Rey, in one side, is broken in two between her loyalty to her family's heart and her will to bring back Ben Solo to the light. Kylo Ren, in the other side, has sweared the Resistance's end. Will he had enought courage to do it, whatever the price? It'a a post "The last Jedi" story, in which you'll find all the protagonists and even new ones.
