Jack Lake wants with all his might to get his brother back but for that he will need help. of his strange companion Douxie, and perhaps an opportunity thanks to "The Legend of the Trollhunter"

Cahir crouched down next to him and spoke into his ear, "A bard? A viscount? Geralt of Riva's friend? Possible knower of Cirilla's location? you're many interesting things Jaskier" he purred, "don't sell yourself short". "well" Jaskier coughed, pulling his head up to meet his eyes "yes to the first, maybe to the second, absolutely not to the third, and who is the fourth?" A second passed between them, flat blue eyes helds held his and a humourless smile played on his lips. " Jaskier is a year out from his unforgiveable abandonment on the mountain top. His faultless admirers have long since grown tired of his break-up songs and non-witcher related ballads. Whilst hurtful memories plague him, his concerns are abruptly changed when Nilfgaardian soldiers abduct him and deliver him into the hands of Cahir. Whilst navigating a desperate Cahir and a perilous rescue, Jaskiers loyalties and friendships are not the only things put under fire.

Young Lanz Rein left his family to go off for war. His people and friends cheered for him and wished him luck, and he thought it is his time to shine and show how he is a man. But war was more than he thought. It wasn't rainbows and unicorns like he thought. It wasn't a piece of cake and it certainly didn't taste like one. It tasted like blood and death. Can he find his way back to his life? Or will everybody be gone by the time he does?

This is the prologue to a new story I'm going to do, about war. This is inspired by Heart of Darkness and Apocalypse Now. About the realities of war and the effect it has on soldiers.
