But what she doesn't mention is that she's been here before, on that very island. why'd she leave? no one knows- except rafe Back in England, her life was peaceful but destined for the familiar role of a middle waged teen. Adrianna didn't want to oblige to the usual patterns of life, instead follow her desire to simply get away. Like Her mum always told her "you can't learn until you live, but you can't live until you learn" Her mum, bright and full of energy, is her everything.. well was her everything. Her death caused the unraveling of anxiety, grief, and the newfound feeling of loneliness. Adrianna never met her dad, but her mum always said she'd tell her who he was when the time was right. I guess Adrianna will never truly know. Confused but somehow still standing, she's unwillingly being sent to OuterBanks to live with her aunt Beth. Twisted brunette hair and eyes of manipulation, her aunt isn't exactly the best parental figure but it's all that she's got. Beth has the tendency to disappear, and drink every second of every day. Some may say she's an alcoholic, but Adrianna thinks she's just broken and too stubborn to be put back together. Even in her 40s she still looks young and full of flames, dangerous but persistent, and never fully in-control. Rafe, the judgmental, self obsessed kook who 'runs' the island is not who he seems to placate. His flaws are his secrets, but one secret revolving Adrianna continues to gnaw at his- heart? Adrianna is left to fend for herself, navigate the island and form her life to fit the standards of OuterBanks. But with constant reminders of her past on the island, how can she?

I never thought the death of a character would hurt me as much as JJ's did. I'm so sad that Rudy couldn't stay professional and had to leave this beautiful project because his girlfriend doesn't get along with Maddison, and that the writers gave us a basic death cliché, even though they had other options. Plus, they didn't give us any truly good Jiara scenes, knowing JJ was going to die. (I refuse to believe JJ died-just no.)
