She awoke in a dark box with no memory of the past. She soon learns that she is the only girl in the glade, and outside the stone walls, lies an everchanging maze. It's the only way out, and nobody has made it through alive. Gally has always been the shank with issues. The one everyone is wary of, the one nobody really likes. But when the mysterious girl from the box challenges him, he begins to emit a softer side, which only shines through him when he's around her. When the bond between them grows, what will the maze hold in store for the gladers? Why is a girl in the glade? Will they ever escape and figure out the past?
