What if she disregarded all safety in order to help an unsettled ancestor, who held a dark secret after more than 600 years of imprisonment in Limbo and trying to keep Alazne away from the island? Some spirits, she’ll come to learn, are often better off left alone and unfound.

They have some reasons to go on that Island but no reason to go together but they got together in the end. Other than horror there is romance and some fun also. They all are determined to prove that there are no ghosts will they be able to prove? Or they can escape the Island? Read to find out. Cora Lombardi is ten years old and lives in 1577 Venice, Italy. A bout of the Bubonic plague ravages the city and hysteria is common in the streets. Anyone who shows even the slightest symptom is dragged off by the Plague Doctors to the island of Poveglia to die and then be burned. While in the markets Cora sneezes, catching the attention of all those that surround her. Kidnapped from her home in the dead of the night when a doctor is informed she is taken to Poveglia, a place were death is a constant companion. She now fights for freedom as no further symptoms form and many of those around her die a slow and painful death. Will she escape and see her family again? Or will she be just another charred skeleton in the plague fields of Poveglia?

"Holy F**k," Riley said with tears gliding down her face and chocked down a sob, staring at Leo. She looked at him with terror filled in them. Her lips quivered before asking her other two friends, "What the f**k was that?" Leo glanced back towards the abandoned asylum with anger lit in his eyes before answering, "Some unfortunate patient who is going to pay with his own blood."

A merchant from Venice is taken to the Lazaret Poveglia, to help cure the plague. This story is written in diary entries.

So this is a short story(500 words) i wrote for my assessment i thought it was nice and i decided to upload it separately. I will try my best to write the extended version of this book and upload it.
