The Premise
The story centers on Elara, the last known carrier of the Love Code-a sentient biological weapon embedded in her mind. In Neo-Veridia, a city shaped by corporate power and hidden agendas, information is more valuable than human life. Because of what she carries, Elara is not just a target; she is an asset that every major player wants to control.
She has survived by staying out of sight, but that anonymity cannot last forever.
The Conflict
Elara is eventually found, not by authorities, but by Silas-an experienced underworld hunter known for completing high-risk contracts without hesitation. To him, she is not a person but a job: a valuable asset to be secured and delivered.
However, keeping her contained proves more complicated than expected. The longer they remain in close proximity, the more unstable the situation becomes. The Love Code begins to respond to their environment, and the tension between them shifts in ways neither of them fully understands or trusts.
At the same time, other factions begin to close in, each determined to claim the Code for themselves.
The Evolution
As pressure builds, the dynamic between Elara and Silas begins to change. What starts as a clear division between captor and captive gradually gives way to a reluctant dependence. Survival forces them to work together, even as trust remains uncertain.
With the city turning against them and the original contract becoming harder to justify, they are pushed into a position where there are no clean choices left. To stay alive, they must move beyond the roles that defined them and confront the system that put them in this situation.
In the process, they become something neither of them intended-two people bound by circumstance, navigating a world that now sees them as threats rather than players within it.
