Darkness came out as the shadows gained intellect, forming bodies often as twisted as their minds. They possess great magic, which allowed them to create the many races of monsters to lurk in the shadows which gave them life, and haunt the dreams of the human race. They used the monsters as food, often mangling humans to get the design just right. In their fear, the humans named these Creatures demons. A group of great wizards realized the danger of the demons and their twisted ways, and locked them away in prisons around the world, using enchanted objects as keys. Over the years demons have escaped for short times, causing huge disasters before their recapture. Only one demon has managed to stay out of the wizards hands. Me, Daelin. I was imprisoned, but the wizard that guarded my prison was young and greedy for power. He set me free and I made him the first of a new kind of monster, the vampire, in return. He started the chain, creating monsters that spread worldwide. And now I can use the toys my first has created to exact my revenge on the human race, bringing me into power. Now it's time for my toys to take over the human race, and for me to exact my revenge.

Edith finds caleb and his family strange. He and his family are isolated from any pack. Caleb soon finds he questions himself and his parents too. Secrets will unfold about Caleb's past and he soon questions who he really is. He is dead set in finding the truth, but there are many obstacles in the way and trying to find the truth will be difficult. Everywhere they go there will be a puzzles to solve, Death lurks every corner, and the more he knows the more dangerous it becomes. Trying to Find out his past while trying keep two packs at peace and protecting the girl is difficult, but he will stop at nothing to know who he really is. ------------------------ This is my first book-read at your own risk!

I am a late-shifter. Late-shifters are looked down upon. The main cause of a late-shifter is that they have human DNA mixed in with their vampire, they don't have pure blood. The purebloods can shift at the age of 10, becoming their vampire and cannot turn back. Even late-shifters, once they shift, the human DNA has been completely removed, changing their identity. We all shift at one point, but I am the one of the only ones who still haven't shifted yet. Most late-shifters shift at 14, but here I am, 16 and still haven't shifted. I am practically considered human at this point. Nobody has ever shifted this late. But this is a story about me, Delilah Night. A late-shifter. I only know this story, or legend because my family has human background. We are the only ones who know this, and our human DNA is covered up with the generations of vampire DNA covering it. The legend says that a late-shifter is the one who can manipulate the humans and/or vampires and bring peace. I am a very late-shifter and the one mentioned in the legend. I am special, but nobody knows that. I will run to the human world and take over both worlds. Nobody knows what is going to happen, but I know. I know because I can control my vampire side to blend in with the human world. I will change history and bring peace.
