Amanda Tucker is a forensic psychologist studying Mark Matthews, a condemned serial killer. One day, while speaking with him, the power goes out, and Amanda is forced to spend 24 hours trapped by this murderous man. There's only one catch. He wants to kill her.

every so often, the power goes out at Pepper's school. She doesn't think much of it; just the crappy power at her school. But she doesn't realize it means something important, until she begins to get notes. They're someone at the school, trying to warn her of what is coming in the near future.
