Emerson is boring.
At least, she thinks so. But it's not like she cares. A predictable life means routine, and she's a sucker for routine. Add that to her lack of real friends (though in her opinion her bulldog Max is all she needs), and her debutante mother is likely to have a heart attack.
But Emerson's senior year is about to take an unlikely turn as she makes her first real (human) friend, Lydia Olsen, who somehow has the perfect personality even though she is the enemy's ex best friend.
Enter Noah Sutton.
Bad boy with surprisingly good grades and a terrible attitude. Who also happens to be great at football and, it seems, most everything else he does.
And he has decided that Lydia is going to be his girlfriend.
Struggling with the possibility of losing her new friend, Emerson takes it upon herself to drive Noah Sutton and his bad boy ways as far away from her and Lydia as possible.
The only thing she didn't count on? Noah Sutton wanting Lydia as much as she did.
