Set against the backdrop of Fairyland, a close-knit small country town where almost everyone knows everyone, The Distance Between Heartbeats is a profound story of resilience, deep rooted trauma, and unyielding protective love. Logan and Bonnie childhood sweethearts who survived severe abuse in the foster care system have built a sanctuary on a sprawling five bedroom farm complete with a barn, horses, and open arms for anyone in need. As devout Christians with a heart for the broken, they live their lives ready to pray with anyone, from addicts to the marginalized, and have recently earned their adoption license to open their home to a teenage sibling group. But their world shatters on a Friday afternoon when Bonnie, a compassionate therapist, fails to return home after picking up their two-month-old baby boy, Caleb, from daycare. Her phone signal vanished two miles away, leaving no trace behind. Now, it is Monday, and as Logan a dedicated local police officer accompanied by his steadfast, six year old German Shepherd K-9, Tank navigates the agonizing duty of dropping off their non-verbal special needs twin kindergarteners, Cora and Camryn, the family is plunged into a nightmare. With the twins sobbing for their missing baby brother, Logan must balance his duties as a father, a law enforcement officer, and a man on the brink of losing his entire world.

Aerovan Keldri has always believed he has time. Time to make music. Time to love. Time to fix his mistakes. Time to discover who he is. Time to become the person he dreams of becoming. Then one unexpected event changes the way he sees his life. Suddenly, tomorrow doesn't feel guaranteed anymore. Fear begins consuming him. His relationships become complicated. His music loses its meaning. And questions about God that he had avoided for years begin demanding answers. Then something strange begins happening. A quiet conviction. A peace he cannot explain. A voice he cannot see. A presence that seems to find him whenever he feels completely alone. Aerovan has spent his life knowing about God. But now, he is being invited to know the Holy Spirit. With the help of people who enter his life at unexpected moments-including Apostle Don Kelly-Aerovan begins a journey through fear, love, loss, forgiveness, music and faith. But learning to live is not the same as learning to exist. And sometimes, the person who is most afraid of tomorrow is the person who has never truly lived today. This is not a story about finding more time. It is a story about discovering what your life is worth while you still have it. 🕊️ WRITTEN BY Apostle Don Kelly

Leaving the keys in the ignition, I crawled toward the passenger side to make my escape. My wobbly legs barely supported me as I stepped into the frigid air. From the side of the road, I crouched down to examine the front of the car completely caved in. The cracked headlights revealed the impact from the side railing. My breathing became shallow and rapid. I tried to think back to Driver's Ed. "If you hit an ice patch while speeding down the highway and spin out of control, but the car is still halfway on the road when you stop and won't move an inch, here's what you should do..." Unfortunately, I never took Driver's Ed. *NOTE: This is a memoir (a written account of an actual event) of the time I was hit by a car in March of 2019. This story was difficult for me to share, as I am still affected by the aftermath of the accident. Thank you for being with me on this journey.

She had everything, until she lost what mattered most. Elsa was the brilliant girl everyone admired. A perfect CGPA. A prestigious scholarship. A future that seemed untouchable. But when tragedy shattered her world, grief quietly turned into anger, and anger led her down a path she never imagined. What began as an escape soon became a prison. Fame, parties, success, and empty pleasures promised healing but only left her broken. When she reaches rock bottom, Elsa is faced with one life-changing question: Can God still restore someone who has walked so far away? Elsa is a powerful Christian fiction novel about grief, backsliding, redemption, and the relentless mercy of God. It is a story of broken altars, restored faith, and the journey from relying on borrowed faith to knowing God personally. If you love emotional, faith-filled stories that will challenge your heart and leave you with hope, then Elsa is for you.
