This is a story of a city built from what had remained, but which will not remain. It is a temporary city but it is also a place of great biotechnological progress and preservation. Although built on the backs of people who simply won't let themselves be wiped out, Redmoss City was an unfortunate one. And its story is all here, in a compilation of diary entries by a young girl.

Isabel McHenry: your average high school freshman girl. That is until her first day of Freshman year: August 13, 25 B.D. where she meets Andrew. The first boy she's enjoyed the company of. What's more? He asks for her number. This could be the strangest 'normal' Friday the 13th. Or is it? Suddenly Andrew stops talking to her just when she starts to realize she likes him. What could this mean? Will she be able to figure it out before a mysterious force makes his existence on Earth cease?

Distantly I heard a voice answer the phone, "Hello, what is your emergency?" I couldn't control my mouth, my thoughts were jumbled and my vision blurry. After two years together and Annie just loses her mind. On top of that, he can't remember anything about that night. The night they say she attacked him. The police keep asking him questions he can't answer, and if he does remember should he tell them? Not to mention the other cases of violent outbursts across the Australia. And these dreams he is having.... He is determined to find out what is going on, but he can't do it alone. Then he meets Luca.

It's the dark year of 2025, the pandemic that wiped out most humans, that turned them into ravaging mindless zombies, saw the collapse of many nations. There still is a military, but from the perspective of a small group of people that eventually meet up and learn that there are worse things than the undead, there is none. From their eyes, all that remains is crippled buildings, overgrown cities and left over vehicles broken beyond repair. And why would they think anything else, the world has gone dark, no more planes, no more people and no more law. Anything goes.
