This story revolves around my personal headcannon that LInk is a really good singer, but he only sings when he's alone or in a comfortable situation. Zelda is really anxious and has many different challenges and Link ends up singing to her or around her. Chapters should be in chronological order. Each chapter can be read as a one-shot, but they're all connected. What's up my dudes? How's everyone doing? I hope y'all have a good day and an even better life. As we all probably know, Link, champion of hyrule, was a very different person before the strike of calamity ganon. This is a story of said champion, and another talented knight, you. If you hadn't already realized, this takes place 100 years before the game Breath of the Wild takes place. Fair warning, my update schedule is all over the place, so if I don't update for long (and i mean LONG) periods of time, don't panic, I'm not dead. There will be NO smut in this book. There was a before the Calamity, the little things that were seen, felt, and said that Legends don't tell. There was a during the Calamity, where truths are told as death wishes and secrets are taken to the grave. There is an after the Calamity, where wrongs are righted and a fresh start is made. But tragedy seems to follow the Princess and the Hero where they go throughout the ages, and this age is no exception. ⚔ The first installment of the Between Them series. In which Link and Zelda meet, and try to get through the Great Calamity together.

Surely it must be a coincidence? Zelda looks to her Father for reassurance, her disbelief escaping her body in the form of an inappropriate scoff. The King however remains indifferent to her silent plea, his gaze remaining fixed on the rest of the room and confirming her fears. The tension in her chest snaps and the weight held there sinks deep into her stomach. For all his chiding about what he perceived as a lack of devotion to her training, he had clearly deemed marriage a duty that could not wait for the passing of the apocalypse. She was foolish for thinking better of him. Zelda's blood runs hot, overwhelming the nausea. Curse him.

When Princess Zelda thinks she can have a little bit of faith n Link, he lets her down in a way only a teenage boy can.
