When Gollum escapes from Thranduil's dungeons, Legolas and the Mirkwood elves try to track him down. But trail leads deep into the south, into places where evil things lurk beneath dark, dying trees. And when Legolas' lets the fear failure get the better of him, he and his warriors find they may be in too deep to make it back out unscathed.
