Book #4 in the "Bloodlines & Ashes" series (Can be read as a standalone) I had a plan: Go to college, have lots of sex, and eventually become a doctor. Simple, right? Yeah, well, that was the idea until a family secret came out and flipped my whole world upside down. Fast forward to an accident and a kidney transplant later; I'm left wondering who the hell I even am anymore. That's when she came tumbling into my life. A red-haired stranger on the hospital rooftop, barging into my existential crisis, dragging me-literally-away from the edge. (For the record, I wasn't going to jump. Probably.) She's beautiful, fiery, and...insanely frustrating. She refused to tell me her name, declared my parents must be gay, and walked away like she didn't just turn my entire world upside down. Sounds like the start of a great love story, doesn't it? Here's the problem: she doesn't think so. She's immune to my charm, dismisses me as some campus jock, and seems entirely uninterested in giving me the time of day. Naturally, her rejection only makes me more determined to prove her wrong. Enter the deal: tutoring sessions, gingerbread lattes, and endless chances to show her that I'm more than just a guy with good hair and charm. Her story? I need to know it.
Her trust? I'll earn it. But the closer I get, the more I realize I'm in way over my head. Because, like they say, too much ginger can give you heartburn-and my heart? It's already hanging by a thread.

Freedom in All it's Glory follows Elle's life from her first day of college. Her first day of freedom. Independence. Adulthood. She loves that she's on her own, just living her life. From going to school without being told, to getting her own dinner, to hanging in her room reading books for hours on end, Elle makes these choices herself. On her own. But what if freedom wasn't all that she thought it would be. What if it wasn't as glorious, as freeing, as wonderful? What if it was just... lonely? Disappointing? When Elles' world starts falling apart at the seams, when relationships strain and love gets messy, she starts to think that freedom isn't all it's cracked up to be. Maybe all it is, is being completely alone.

Maia Santiago believes in plans. She colors her world in neat lines, maps her days down to the very last minute, and has known since she was twelve exactly where her life is going: straight toward medicine, straight toward UP Manila. There is no room for surprises. There is certainly no room for Alas Bueno-swimmer, dreamer, and the boy who keeps dripping chlorine water on her library books. Alas has belonged to the water since he was nine years old. It is the only place where everything makes sense. Until he meets a girl who quotes old books and sees straight through his easy smiles, finding the boy who is afraid of sinking just beneath the surface. Summer in Balingoan was meant to be simple: study for exams, train for regionals, wait for the world to change. But when words begin to appear in the margins of pages, and hands find their way to rest gently against backs, two lives that were never supposed to fit together suddenly click into place. And slowly, they learn that perfect timing matters far less than perfect feeling. Because sometimes, the person who pulls you under is the very same one who teaches you how to float. Undercurrent is a story about love, letting go, and discovering that the most beautiful things in life are never written down on any schedule.

Persistence, Pending reflects my long, uncertain years before medicine officially begins. For many aspiring physicians, the journey is defined not by white coats and high pay, but by basement offices, late quiet nights in the library, countless free-labor-for-exprience, solo trips lost in hospital corridors, infantile treatment, and the quiet endurance of waiting. It entails being so close to a dream you have worked for, but not calling it your own. In a world defined by hierarchy and the slow grind of long-term progress, persistence becomes both survival and self-discovery, as the future remains perpetually uncertain.
