This is a pretty sad Pre-Serum Stucky. Bucky accidentally comes out to his parents about being gay and gets kicked out. He tells Steve but not that he's gay. Sarah and Steve let him stay around and well, things happen from there.

um probably a lot of bucky, at least at first. I definitely take requests. um most of these are gonna be requests unless im hit with a cool prompt or spontaneous motivation.

In 1943, Bucky Barnes had dragged his best friend Steve Rogers along on many double dates, but they never turned out well for the short and scrawny boy, especially when both girls ended up on Bucky's arm. That was until Steve met Sarah, a shy petite girl from a few blocks away. Sarah doesn't see Steve as a weak or disappointing, but as a strong, caring man who holds the key to her heart. When World War Two rolls around, Bucky enlists, and naturally Steve wants to do the same. Sarah begs him not to go, and to her relief he gets rejected numerous times. That is, until the Stark Expo Worlds Fair rolls around, and Steve is finally accepted into the United States Army..

This the origin story of Steve Rogers and Bucky Barnes' friendship, starting with my version of how they first met. The beginning of the line, if you will. You're in for some fights, trouble, and a lot of fun all set in Depression Era NYC! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ **I kept their relationship fraternal, as that is how I see it. All of the characters are from the Marvel Universe (no ocs), and I tried to stay as true as I could to the little bit of information about their childhoods that exists, and their overall personalities to create "Just Some Friends From Brooklyn!" Steve and Bucky are both 18 and best friends. Tony has parties almost every weekend, everytime the girls are all over Bucky. Pushing themselves against him, dancing close to him. Steve hates it. Every. Damn. Time. He then secretly imagines what it would be like if he were one of those girls. He's jealous of the girls but also hates them. It's a Stucky with a few other ships in there.

Life in the '30's is hard, especially as a queer teenager, where being gay has an unofficial death penalty. James Buchanan Barnes and Steve Rogers go on a journey to find themselves, discovering their love for each other in the process. Note: may contain triggers, foul language.
