This is a short story I wrote for my 8th grade language arts class. My teacher told me to send it to Caroline Kennedy, I did on April 8th, 2014. I got a response on June 13, 2015.

Dallas, November 1963, President John Kennedy had just been shot and rushed to the hospital and everyone in the nation is waiting on baited breath. And for Alice O'Neal, she waits to hear about her fate within the family herself.

Republican Senator Jacqueline Bouvier is the first woman in United States history. Defeating Richard Nixon once she proves her success to the party itself is a victory, but after losing to the Democratic nominee, John F. Kennedy, she's swept under. Not by hate, but by love. Just a what if ficlet if both Jack and Jackie served in politics and how far she'd go to have an affair with the president of the United States.

It may seem like a privilege, a luxury, to travel twice in one month. But what Poppy experiences after moving from Russia to the United States is a very different kind of trip. Polina "Poppy" Voronova is a determined eighteen year-old when she moves to Boston to study in Harvard. However, her carefully planned life will be completely turned upside down by an unexplainable occurrence. Waking up in what she thinks is a dream turns out to be a harsh reality as she has to figure out where, or rather, when she is and what has happened to her. Having a bright mind comes in handy. But she will need more than that. She will need to blend in. Once she finds out, and sees no escape, there's only one thing she can and must do. She has little to lose, after all.
