Just think about how much time, effort and energy we waste wanting to be something we're not or trying to have the impossible. Yes, there are things we can change and it's always good to aspire to be better in some way, shape or form, but there's also a magic and beauty in just reveling in the wonders of what we have right here, right now- that's what this one's about :)

I needed to rant, and Twitter, you can only rant for so long that you get bored of it. Tumblr .. I'm still learning how to use it. Facebook. I'll just get bitched at.

This is a book of my poetry. I plan on adding a lot to it. I may even add more poetry than stories even. I'm actually adding ALL of my poems to it, but I will post my poems individually at first for a couple of days before I add it to this story group. I write quite a bit of dark poetry, but I also write poetry with a lot of eccentricity. Either way, my poems really define me, probably even more than my stories do.

In my point of view, Keely was never someone I was attracted to. Until that summer. Actually, it started before that summer. I found out that our little Keely had grown up at my mom's wedding. She went from an annoying little twerp with glasses, chub, and absolutely no curves into a beautiful girl. She lost all her chub, filled out, got rid of her glasses, actually did stuff with her hair, and wore makeup. That summer I got to watch Keely fall in love, and grow up. We all got to watch her change into the most amazing young woman we had ever met. That summer was by far the best summer of my life. Unless I could get them back, I wouldn't give a thing to change how I remember that summer. How I remember them. I'm Brendan Michael Kelley, and you're about to learn everything about that summer.
